Scrambling shrub with glabrous purple-brown stems. Pilose or glabrous leaves to 210mm x 150mm. 10-16 flowered cymes with bracts to 10mm long & reddish bracteoles 5mm long. Male sepals white or pink to purple to 7.5mm long, petals white to 7.5mm long. Female flowers with 5 red or white petals to 8mm long. Capsule 12mm x 6mm with wing to 25mm wide.
