Creeping & climbing glabrous rhizomatous succulent begonia with reddish-brown stems to 150mm long. Hairy spirally arranged pendent leaves to 290mm x 90mm with crenate or scalloped margins. Glabrous axillary crimson cymes with 4-9 male flowers & two female flowers at base, glabrous crimson bracts at base of inflorescence to 7mm x 3mm. Male flowers with 4 tepals white at base & pink towards apex, outer tepals to 13mm x 10mm, inner tepals to 10mm x 7mm. Female flowers with 5 tepals white at base & rose-red on margins to 7mm x 6mm. Fruit a glabrous pendent deep crimson capsule to 18mm x 19mm with 3 wings to 6mm wide
