Tall woody evergreen liana to 18m with lenticellate glabrescent stems. Glabrescent leaves 300mm x 130mm slightly coriaceous. Terminal cymes or panicles to 200mm with bracts to 15mm & bracteoles to 10mm long, fragrant 150mm white flowers, tube to 65mm, lobes to 30mm, 5 sepals 40mm x 20mm, 5 petals 40mm x 40mm & tube to 20mm densely tomentose outside. Seed a follicle to 180mm long.
