Perennial glabrous creeping or climbing herb to 2.5m with tendrils to 100mm long. 3-lobed sagittate leaves to 80mm x 75mm with lobes to 55mm x 30mm & serrate-dentate margins. 1-2-flowered cymes with bracts to 3mm long, greenish-yellow or white sepals to 7.5mm, petals to 6.5mm. Fruit a capsule to 15mm long, young fruits purple-green with purple lines
