Spiny sprawling or sometimes scandent perennial herb or shrublet to 900mm with strigose stems. Strigose mucronate leaves to 47mm x 20mm. Axillary 1-10 flowered cymes to 35mm long with bracteoles to 17mm x 3.5mm & spines to 5mm, pale green to brown calyx with lobes to 22mm x 10.5mm & spines to 5mm, pale pink, lilac or blue-mauve corolla, sometimes white, to 39mm long with a tube to 25mm long & lobes to 14mm x 8.5mm. Glabrous capsule to 13.5mm long.
