Scrambling or scandent perennial herb or subshrub to 3m or dwarf shrublet. Hairy stems. Hairy leaves to 80mm x 45mm. Axillary 1-7 flowered cymes to 110mm long with bracteoles to 16.5mm x 1.8mm. Green calyx with lobes to 18mm x 5mm, pale blue to mauve corolla to 44mm long with pale tube & purple stripes in throat, rarely white throughout, tube to 26mm long, lobes to 19mm x 18mm. Mostly glabrous capsule to 16.5mm long.
