Woody hairy twining liana or erect shrub to 3m becoming a vine. Lenticellate branches. Leaves to 85mm x 40mm, glabrous above, pubescent beneath. Terminal or axillary umbels with bracts & bracteoles to 2.2mm long of 20mm diameter white or pink aging cream or yellow flowers with fimbriate petals to 10mm x 9mm, posterior petal with pink spot, to 6mm x 6mm, sepals to 4.5mm x 3.5mm. Dark red nut 9mm x 6mm with wing to 28mm x 14mm becoming scarlet.
