Twining tomentose liana with older branches becoming glabrate. Leaves to 170mm x 150mm, velvety above & silky beneath. 4-flowered terminal or axillary umbels or panicles with leaflets to 20mm long & bracts to 4mm long, bractlets to 3mm long. 25mm diameter pinkish-purple flowers turning white with age, fimbriate petals to 11mm with claws. Samara wing to 40mm x 15mm
