Strong climber to 15m, pubescent branchlets. Mainly glabrous leaves 160mm x 62mm or pubescent on veins above and pubescent beneath. Rusty-tomentose axillary & terminal cymes or panicles 60mm long with bracts 6mm long, fragrant flowers pinkish white, pubescent calyx 3.5mm long, sepals to 3.9mm long, greenish aging white corolla with glabrous tube 5mm long & lobes to 24mm long. Dark red-brown follicles, puberulous or glabrescent to 750mm x 5mm.
