Liana or scandent shrub to 6m with hairy stems. Leaves to 73mm x 36mm with ferruginous hairs. Terminal panicles to 145mm x 130mm subtended by a single bract, Male capitula 4.1mm long with 20-35 florets, corolla to 2.5mm long with tube to 1.8mm. Female capitula to 6.2mm long with 18-22 florets, corolla to 3.2mm long, achenes to 1.3mm x 0.3mm, pappus to 3.6mm long.
