Twining scrambling shrub or woody liane to 6m. Leaves to 80mm x 60mm, sometimes palmate, margins entire or crenulate. Axillary cymes, greenish yellow to orange flowers, 5 sepals to 4mm long, 5 petals to 4mm long. Fruit pale green capsule to 25mm long with rigid spines.
