Woody liane to 12m with leaves to 120mm x 100mm, 3-5 lobed or palmate. Axillary panicles of yellow or green-violet to magenta flowers, reddish outside. Calyx with 5 sepals to 2mm long, corolla with 5 petals to 2mm long. Spiny capsule to 30mm long.
