Unarmed glabrous liana twining to 10m. Dentate serrate leaves to 130mm x 70mm, glabrous above, pubescent beneath. Few-flowered inflorescence, greenish yellow flowers, hirsute calyx, sepals 5mm long. Spiny capsule to 50mm x 20mm, spines to 3mm long
