Sometimes scandent herbaceous vine to 3m or tree with striate stems. Leaves to 250mm x 50mm. Greenish-white flower heads of 10-40 flowers to 5mm in panicles, villose phyllaries in 2-3 series. Hirtellous black achenes with dirty white pappus.
