Climbing perennial rhizomatous bamboo. Hispid leaf sheaths, leaf blades to 105mm x 10mm. Paniculate synflorescence with subtending bracts. Spikelets to 15mm long. No glumes. Fertile lemma to 15mm long. 3 lodicules.
