Large woody liana to 20m, or creeper withy oung parts dark red hairy. Glabrous leaves to 120mm x 80mm. Axillary 100mm long panicles with bracteoles, 5mm white flowers with glabrous sepals 2mm x 1mm, glabrous petals 6mm x 3mm. Fruit surrounded by a red-brown 3-winged samara to 35mm x 40mm crested on back, deciduous during flowering.
