Dioecious herb to subshrub climbing with spines to 6mm to 1m. Cladodes in fascicles of 6-9, to 13mm x 0.5mm. Axillary inflorescences,paird flowers, male yellowish flowers to 3.5mm. Red berry to 7mm diameter.
