Fruiting Times
Climbing evergreen tuberous rooted hermaphroditic subshrub or herbaceous armed vine to 3m with glabrous woody stems, tuberous roots to 500mm + long. Woody stems with recurved spines. Clusters or 5-8 cladodes to 30mm x 1mm. Leaves with pungent spur. Axillary racemes or panicles with small bracts of fragrant 4mm long white or pink flowers with red anthers. fFuit a yellowish-green or white berry 8mm diameter, climbing with reflexed spines & twining
