Climber to 3m with angled glabrous or puberulous branches with spines to 7mm. Solitary cladodes or in fascicles of 2-6, to 25mm x 3mm. Infloresence to 150mm long, flowers in fascicles of 2-6 with bracts to 1.5mm x 1mm, white to cream tepals 3mm long. Red berry to 10mm diameter.
