Evergreen arching tuberous perennial hermaphroditic climbing subshrub with glabrous stems, climbing with hooked spines. Cladodes in fascicles of 3-4, to 18mm x 1mm. Axillary dense racemes or panicles to 35mm, of 5mm white flowers with bracteoles. 10mm diameter red berries.
