Climbing bamboo, leaves to 200mm x 17mm, glabrous above & pubescent beneath, puberulent leaf sheath with setaceous appendages. Terminal spikate racemes to 120mm long with 5 spiculae & 5 flowers, 5 spikelets to 30mm long, glumes to 7mm long.
