Climbing or creeping rhizomatous fern often epiphytic to 7m, rhizome to 10m x 5mm diameter, maturing dark brown. Pinnate fronds, sterile fronds to 215mm x 45mm, fertile fronds to 510mm x 67.5mm with about 30 pinni, sori to 1mm.
