Strong woody climber with velvet hairy branches with hooks. Coriaceous glabrous leaves to 180mm x 70mm. Solitary or fascicled flowers covered in brownish velvet hairs, hooked peduncles, flowers with 4 bracts, 3 sepals to 8mm x 6mm, yellow petals to 30mm x 7mm. Fruit to 25mm x 22mm.
