Liana to 10m. Glabrous coriaceous leaves to 160mm x 65mm. Solitary or rarely paired melon scented flowers opening white & becoming dull pink-purple, hooked peduncles, sepals to 7mm x 7mm, outer petals to 30mm x 18mm, inner petals to 28mm x 12mm. Bright red fruit.
