Large woody climber, twigs covered with red-brown tomentum, becoming glabrous with age. Coriaceous leaves to 210mm x 100mm, glabrous above, hairy beneath. Many-flowered inflorescence, sepals to 6mm x 10mm, densely pale hairy outside, sparsely hairy within, green petals aging yellow to 25mm x 15mm, densely brown-hairy both surfaces. Fruit to 30mm x 20mm with longitudinal ridges
