Woody climber to 25m, glabrous striate young branches. Slightly coriaceous leaves to 150mm x 60mm, hooked glabrous peduncle with minute bract. Yellow flowers 10mm long, coriaceous glabrous sepals to 3mm x 2mm, fleshy minutely tomentose triangular petals aging yellow to 10mm long. Glabrous shortly-beaked fruit with several vertical ridges, 22mm x 15mm
