Perennial woody liana to 10m with glabrescent stems becoming corky. Leaves to 250mm x 200mm, villous when young. Cauliflorous cymes of 3-4 flowers, with bracteole to 3mm x 2.5mm, pendulous flowers to 50mm, yellowish-white & brown-hairy outside with purple veins or dots, utricle to 12mm x 7mm opening to 13mm, tube to 55mm x 18mm, 3-lobed limb to 22mm x 11mm. 6-angled capsule to 60mm x 18mm.
