High-climbing glabrous twining vine with corky bark at base, glabrous branches. Leaves to 100mm x 80mm. Solitary axillary purple flowers, calyx gold spotted brown to 12mm diameter, calyx tube 18mm long, utricle to 10mm long, syrinx to 1mm x 5mm, tube to 30mm x 4mm, limb to 35mm x 13mm. Capsule to 45mm x 25mm.
