Perennial woody liana to 20m, young branches glabrescent becoming corky. Leaves to 270mm x 120mm, glabrous above, woolly beneath. Cauliflorous cymes with a braceole to 2mm x 1.5mm, of 3-4 brown pubescent horseshoe-shaped flowers to 48mm, yellowish-white with purple veins, white inside, utricle to 8mm x 12mm with a dark purple band, tube to 24mm x 7mm becoming 11mm wide at apex, 3-lobed limb to 9mm x 5mm, yellow throat with orange dots. 6-ridged brown-villous capsule to 120mm x 3mm.
