Cauliferous liana with woody stems tomentose when young, slightly winged with corky bark when older. Lobed leaves to 170mm x 90mm glabrous above & tomentose beneath, lobes to 120mm long. Axillary racemes with bracts, calyx to 40mm long dull yellow to yellow-brown, inflated utricle to 10mm x 7mm, 3-lobed limb with triangulate lobes to 5mm x 20mm, throat dark purple above, white to pale yellow beneath, white inside.
