Liana or twining perennial cauliflorous subshrub with coriaceous leaves pilose on nerves beneath to 150mm x 150mm. Racemes of unpleasant smelling whitish flowers with brown markings. Yellow throat, utricle pink with purple nerves 75mm x 30mm, pubescent within , glabrous tube to 35mm x 6mm, mucronate limb to 35mm long, throat to 180mm long.
Used to treat fever.
