Cauliflorous glabrous twining liana to 9m, branches with large lenticels. Glabrous leaves to 125mm x 50mm. Few-flowered fascicles of yellow-brown tailed flowers 125mm long with purple throat, inside of tube yellowish with reddish hairs 70mm x 16mm, utricle to 25mm x 15mm, hairy tube to 45mm x 14mm widening to 30mm, limb 75mm diameter with 3 lobes becoming tails to 600mm long, unpleasant smell. Dark brown 6-ridged fruit to 150mm x 30mm.
