Slightly woody twiner to 3m with furrowed, corky bark. Leaves to 100mm x 50mm, glabrous above, tomentulose beneath. Brown flowers solitary or in axillary racemes, calyx lip to 27mm long, utricle brown to 10mm x 5mm, tube to 15mm long bilabiate, throat bright yellow, pubescent. Fruit a capsule 25mm x 15mm
