Procumbent or climbing herb. Leaves to 53mm x 40mm, entire or trilobed, glabrescent above, hairy beneath. Axillary solitary flowers, with bracts to 7mm x 5mm, yellow flowers 20mm long becoming maroon toward the limb with brown-orange veins & hairs, yellow utricle 5mm x 5mm, with reddish dots inside, tube to 8mm x 3mm with purplish-red hairs inside, limb 12mm x 7mm, maroon becoming yellow-orange with purple-red hairs, syrinx 1.5mm x 1.5mm. Brown-orange capsule 15mm x 16mm.
