Glabrous twiner. Leaves to 125mm diameter. Axillary solitary flowers to 125mm long, utricle to 60mm long, green at base then dirty purple with dull green ribs, upper lip to 200mm long, pale brown with yellow ribs, lower lip 25mm x 8mm, brown & yellow, becoming 2-lobed 100mm diameter with red-brown nerves & mottled brown. Capsule to 125mm long.
