Fruiting Times
Vigorous perennial glabrescent evergreen woody twiner to 8m. Heart-shaped leaves glabrous above, puberulent beneath to 265mm x 220mm. 500mm solitary cream pendent flowers mottled deep maroon with a tail-like appendage sometimes reaching 3m, utricle to 35mm, tube to 130mm, foetid odour, calyx to 200mm long. Capsule with 5 longitudinal ribs maturing brown to 155mm x 45mm.
Naturalised in some areas. Roots are poisonous
