Twining liana to 20m with foetid odour with ribbed glabrous stems. Leaves to 270mm x 210mm, glabrous above & hispid beneath. Axillary solitary 300mm flowe with bracteole to 20mm across, reddish-brown & cream flowers with protuberances, cream utricle to 190mm x 100mm with purplish ribs, syrinx to 35mm x 17mm, tube to 125mm long, throat to 75mm x 28mm, white inside, vestibule to 50mm x 75mm, limb to 310mm x 300mm. Many-seeded hexagonal capsule to 70mm x 35mm.
