Twining liana to 20m, leaves & stems smelling of orange peel when crushed. Corky bark. Sparsely pubescent or almost glabrous leaves to 170mm x 90mm. Cauligerous racemes, rarely axillary, flowers with bracts to 10mm long, flowers to 62mm long, dark pinksih-maroon with white areas, utricle to 7mm diameter, tube to 12mm x 2.5mm, 1-lipped limb to 45mm x 4mm. Pale orange to dark brown fruit to 55mm x 30mm.
