Twiner to 20m or creeper with striate glabrous branches. Glabrous leaves to 220mm x 180mm. Axillary or cauligerous spikes with glabrous bracts to 1.5mm long, flowers variable in colour from white, yellow, green with pinkish tinge, to brownish to dark red-brown, tube to 12mm x 2mm, 1-lipped limb to 20mm x 12mm. Glabrous capsule to 60mm x 30mm.
