Twiner with slightly flattened and furrowed stems. Leaves to 190mm x 70mm, glabrous above and glabrescent beneath. Axillary or cauligerous spikes with minute hairy bracts, flowers whitish with violet-brown venation or orange-yellow, tube purplish-red with white spots to 20mm x 6mm dia., 3-lobed limb with triangular lobes to 6mm x 10mm. 6-ridged orange capsule to 95mm x 45mm.
