Liana or small vine with glabrous lenticellate branches. Leaves to 190mm x 120mm, glabrous above, hairy beneath. Cauligerous or axillary racemes with hairy bracts to 10mm long, white or reddish flowers, tube 7mm x 2mm, 1-lipped limb 20mm x 4mm. Hard yellowish capsule to 45mm x 30mm.
