Twiner with woody rootstock. Leaves to 80mm x 40mm, spasely hairy. Solitary flowers brownish-purple green at base of tube, subtended by bract to 3mm long, brownish-purple calys limb or greenish towarsds base to 15mm long, inner surface greenish-yellow with a few scattered pourplish hairs, tube to 18mm long, greeis or slightly purplish, clavate to 7mm long. Capsule to 15mm x 10mm with ribs.
