Herbaceous glabrous twiner or liana. Glabrous 3-lobed leaves 100mm x 75mm. Axillary cymes with conspicuous mucronulate bracts to 18mm x 14mm, pale green-yellow flowers, lip & margins red-brown, tube 14mm x 20mm diameter with limb 25mm x 8mm hairy inside. 6-ribbed fruits reddish green striated aging brown to 100mm x 20mm.
