Liane to 20m with hairy stems. Leaves to 110mm x 110mm, pilose above & hirsute beneath. Axillary umbellate cymes to 250mm long with bracts to 50mm x 40mm, about 20 flowers with sepals to 16mm long, 100mm wide mauve-lilac flowers, corolla to 65mm long.
