Large villous twining shrub with coriaceous leaves to 175mm x 100mm glabrous or hairy above slightly hairy on midrib or reddish-tomentose beneath. Many-flowered tomentose corymbs or cymes to 120mm across with small bracts, 2 outer sepals to 7mm long tomentose outside glabrous inside, 2 inner sepals 6mm long silky inside, white or pink 5-lobed corolla with violet tube dark purple inside to 20mm long tawny silky outside, lobes with glabrous margins. Pinkish-white or purplish-red berry to 20mm long.
