Twiner to 5m with glabrescent stems. Leaves to 160mm x 100mm glabrous above or sparsely hairy on midrib, pilose beneath. Terminal cymes with minute bracts to 2mm long, pilose sepals 2 outer sepals to 5mm long, 2 inner sepals to 6.5mm long, pinkish-purple 5-lobed glabrous corolla to 6mm long, lobes silky outside to 18mm long. Pink fruit to 15mm long.
