Scandent glabrescent slender woody climber to 3m with hairy new growth. Glabrescent leaves to 200mm x 110mmm. Axillary cymes to 25mm long of flowers with bracts to 5mm long, hairy sepals to 5mm long, dark purple corolla to 35mm long hirsute without. Fruit a rose-pink berry to 15mm x 6mm.
