Large high-climbing hairy or glabrescent twining liana with hispid stems & leaves 200mm x 120mm. Leaves glabrous above, white tomentose beneath. Axillary cymes 60mm across with flesh-coloured bracts 35mm x 28mm, 60mm diameter purple, pink or whitish flower white-hairy outside, 70mm long, pink sepals with white pubescence outside exterior sepals 17mm x 8mm, interior sepals 8mm x 3mm, silky-white corolla 60mm x 40mm. Fruit a red berry to 10mm diameter enclosed by persistent sepals.
