Twining liana with hairy young parts, leaves to 140mm x 85mm, mainly glabrous but strigose on midrib, sparsely strigose beneath. Terminal or axillary cymes with bracts to 5mm long, hirsute sepals to 4mm long, white corolla with violet tube, purple inside to 13mm long, 5-lobed, lobes to 4mm long. Fruit pink to at least 12mm long.
