Large woody twining shrub, glabrescent stems. Mucronate leaves glabrous above, silver-downy beneath to 125mm x 75mm. Axillary or terminal umbels, cymes or panicles with bracts 12mm x 8mm silvery on backs, of 28mm long white flowers hairy outside with corolla to 30mm, lobes 15mm x 6mm & tube 7mm long, exterior sepals 10mm x 7mm, interior sepals 7mm x 5mm silvery on backs, red inside. Fruit a red berry enclosed in persistent sepals, 10mm x 8mm.
